
In 1925, Helen Keller challenged the Lions to become "knights of the blind in the crusade against darkness." We proudly accepted that challenge. Ever since, the Brandywine Lions Club has championed sight programs aimed at wiping out preventable blindness.
Through the Lions Recycle For Sight program, we collect used eyewear to help people in developing countries—where eye care is often a luxury, and a single eye exam can cost a month's wages. Your donated glasses are shipped to a regional Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center, where they are cleaned, sorted by prescription, and prepared for global distribution.
